Welcome to Folly Quarter Bands!
We have an incredible year planned at Folly Quarter with our Band Program. Although Band WILL meet the first day of school, please do NOT bring your instrument until Wednesday, August 27. Students interested in auditioning for Howard County G/T Band should speak to Mr. Spang as soon as possible. Music is available now - see below.

G/T Band and All State Audition Music
Howard County GT Band uses the same audition requirements and music as the Maryland All State Band. You can preview the music and download a study copy be following the link below.

We surprised to hear of the Two Hour Delay called for by the Howard County Public School System shortly before 7PM. Mr. Spang has been in contact with the MBDA President-Elect and our bus company, K.A.M. Transportation. We should be able to still participate in the MMEA Convention.

Students should report to school via normal transportation, arriving by 9:25 AM in their Band Uniforms (Black from waist to floor: black shoes, black socks/hose, black pants/skirt, with our White Music Polo Shirt). Students should bring a bag lunch and drink (in a resealable plastic container).

Students will immediately board buses with music, instruments, and any necessary equipment for our performance.

We will aim to depart no later than 9:45 AM. Our performance time may be pushed back from 10:25 AM to as late as 11:00 AM. The rest of the trip should be as scheduled, with students returning to FQMS during Period 7, and spending the rest of the school day in the Band Room.

IF SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED, our trip will be canceled.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Spang.
